Meow Meow with The Kazimier and her Sleepless Beauties

Post-post-modern diva Meow Meow has hypnotised, inspired, and terrified audiences globally with unique creations and sell-out seasons from New York’s Lincoln Center and Berlin’s Bar Jeder Vernunft to London’s West End and Sydney Opera House.

Named ‘One of the Top Performers of the Year’ (The New Yorker), the spectacular crowd-surfing tragi-comedienne has been called “Sensational” (The Times), “diva of the highest order” (New York Post), “The Queen of Chanson” (Berliner Zeitung) and “a phenomenon” by the Australian press.

Her award-winning solo works have been curated by David Bowie, Pina Bausch, and Mikhail Baryshnikov and numerous international arts festivals and as well as being a prolific original theatre and music creator she specialises in Weimar repertoire and French chanson with orchestras such as SF Symphony and London Philharmonic.

She recently appeared as Titania in Emma Rice’s revolutionary A Midsummer Night’s Dream  at Shakespeare’s Globe. She performs next at Edinburgh International Festival  with her original work “Meow Meow’s Little Mermaid” and with her show “Meow’s Pandemonium” with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at Royal Festival Hall.

Meow has written original repertoire with Iain Grandage, Lance Horne, Jherek Bischoff, Washington and Thomas M Lauderdale, and in concert performs this and the Weimar and chanson repertoire to Palmer and Radiohead, with San Francisco Symphony, Oregon Symphony, American Pops Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony, Orchestra Victoria, Pink Martini and the NY Pops, Amanda Palmer. Meow most recently toured a programme of lost and banned Weimar works with Barry Humphries and the Australian Chamber Orchestra for Edinburgh International Festival, London Cadogan Hall and Tanglewood Music Festival US, and with the London Philharmonic in Meow’s Pandemonium at Royal Festival Hall . With her “Sleepless Beauties” collaborators she created “Souvenir – A Fantastical Song Cycle on a Half-remembered Misreported History of …..” a “love -letter” to the Theatre Royal that plays Brighton Festival and continues around the world.
